#27118 - relation of registor power & time |
I am designing a circuit for over voltage
protection using simple resistor of 2200 ohm & diode which carries 400 mA current. At this rated current the power dissipated is 352 Watt ,but if my resistor's power rating is ,say 50 Watt ,I want to know the time the resistor will take to burnout or general equation or way/method to establish relationship between power dissipated & time for which it can withstand this power. |
