#28211 - RE: how?8051 database!!! |
Hello Mr. artos artosi:
Trying to create a 8051 controlling a 1 gigabyte hard drive is a big job. You might want to reconsider how you use the resources at hand. A better way of doing things is to build a 8051 device which collects data and passes that data along to an IBM compatible desktop PC or a Laptop computer via the serial communication port (i.e., RS232). The computer (desktop or laptop) can store the data in ASCII format on its hard drive and can later (end of day 00:00 AM) send that data to another computer via a dialup modem connection. This data can now be converted to something that is compatible to displaying it on the Internet (HTML type of files). The entire system can be small and set up in remote location without any manual intervention. Good luck, Charles Bannister |
