Depends entirely on within how much time you will take from contract till commissioning.

Your competetors shall deliver in short time and with high $$$$$$.

You can deliver in long time with les $$.

You got to convince your client on this, as they for sure have approached the open market where others like were lurking to get the job.

I think its a kind of project your clients can bear with your high time but with less $$.

I suppose the reasonable price could be 2000$ for the first target with 20 % discount on every next order but never less than 1000$.

You must write down the agreed specs. or the "wish list" of your client would be endless. Charge 500 $ on every new wish. I have a very bad experience.

Most of the time I got an oder for making go cart and end with delivering a mercedez :) yet getting the price for the cart only.....

I have learned a lot from Jay C. Box (now I don't know his current allias) on this issue.

Don't let the client go away with the orders. "Don't remove the hook from your fish"

Make your system inherently prone to go faulty and enter into a maintenance agreement. blow your micro after every 500 shots........

Don't give away the source code "AT ALL".
