Dear folks,

I have to use 8 channel 4051 multiplexer with 8951. It has three bit data input to control 8 channels.

I have to in fact send a 12 volts pulse to all 8 channels one by one from the common of the mux at pin 3.

The 3 bit channel number I am controlling from micro.

Micro has vcc at +5 volts and mux has vdd at +12 volts.

But it damages the micro. I don't know how the +12 volts of the pulse get into micro whereas it souldn't.

Any idea ??
