#30303 - key board interfacing |
iam working on 8031. i am interfacing PC key board to 8031. iam using on kit 8255 to interface and iam using a 74ls164 to convert serial data to parallel data that can be accepted by 8031 directly.
iam using the keyboard clk directly for bit shifts in the 74ls164. iam using delay in the program for the key rebounce time and for grabbing the appropriate value from the look up table. when i decrease the delay, if a person types slow the key pressed is repeated because before the person lifts the finger from the key the delay loop will be completed and once again it accepts the value if i increase the delay, the person typing at a rate of 50 words per minute will be missing some keys pressed because the programm will be in the loop only. If any key pressed at that time will be lost. please send me the suggestions or solutions have a nice day |
