#54847 - RE: key board interfacing Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I want to interface 8279 with 8031, how do I do that.
With PCB tracks if on a PCB or simple wires if hardwired ;-) Have you noticed the vagueness in your query ? The 8279 is a display cum keypad interface peripheral chip - so just for a start which would you like to do ? And how many keys or how many digits to display ? ( Just a tip : In case you are new to 8279 - dont waste time on this decade old stuff - the 82xx series of peripheral chips from Intel are a thing of the past - they were "excellent" in thier days and had a very complex set of registers to configure before they can do anything...)
