#3059 - HMI -vs- MMI: The Darwin Factor |
....Human-Machine Interface...
.....Man-Machine Interface.... I think Man-Machine Interface originated from the space program and differentiated at least between other candidate species for space launch. Alas, Chimp-Machine Interface, Canine-Machine Interface never caught on, probably due the their embarrassing lag in technology. Half of my Grandfather's descendents worked in the space program. I was headed for a job in Houston myself when a fiscal-minded US President from bad Hollywood movies put a freeze on goverment hiring *because* he was going to balance the federal budget... Unfortunately, that promise wasn't kept and while I was kept out of NASA, he went on to rack up the largest US deficit in history. Go figure! 8-) -Jay C. Box PS: That unnamed President had worked on Chimp-Man Interface in movies like "Bedtime for Bozo" Hollywood is obviously the source of the US greatest minds. Imagine how great Albert Einstein would have been had he grown up at Hollywood High School with a "90210" prestige zipcode and a job on "Baywatch". |
