As the author of Pinnacle 52 I can say that the reason Pinnacle doesn't currently support baud rates in excess of 19,200 is due to limitations of the underlying language in which it was developed. I am working on a new 32-bit version of Pinnacle that will, among other things, be able to support higher baud rates.
