#31416 - RE: Simulator SOS
If you're using Pinnacle 52 there's no way to get the PC COM port to operate at such a high baud rate. That's a limitation of the Microsoft development tools that I used to develop Pinnacle. Newer 32-bit tools don't have that limit which is, in part, why I'm rewriting it in the 32-bit environment.

Pinnacle WILL allow you to simulate 115,200 baud, but only in the Terminal Simulation window. That is, all UART I/O will occur via the Terminal Simuilation window within Pinnacle, it won't actually be sent via the serial port.

If you can debug your program using the Terminal Window then that's a solution. If you must have Pinnacle interact with external hardware via the COM port then the only option would be to slow down the external hardware to 19,200 baud. If you can't slow the external hardware's baud rate for testing purposes, there's really no way to do it with the current version of Pinnacle.

Craig Steiner
