The electrolytic capacitor is mostly used with low frequencies due to its high capacity. Ceramic capacitors have lower capacities and are used more in hf-technics.
I would be more interested in the difference between a 10uF electrolytic capacitor and a 10uF tantal(?) capacitor. PS: Tantal is a metal, I don't know if it has a different name in english than in german, and there is noone here to ask ... |
