Keypad matrix is great for saving port pins, but if you need to press more than 1 key simultaneously, key matrix is no good and it is a must that you use a port pin for each switch.
Another way to reduce pin count is to multiplex pins as inputs and outputs at the same time. Regards Mahmood |
