Well, I wasn't going to mention the Triscend E5 in this thread, as the original post specified that security was an issue, and the E5 has no internal FLASH. However, if you find that Steve's suggestions for securing an E5 are acceptable, then I certainly think that the other attributes of the E5 make it ideal for this application! I suppose it might even be argued that battery-backing the E5 and using its internal RAM as code storage is somewhat more secure than on-chip Flash - as it provides the would-be hacker with a further challenge in maintaining the RAM contents throughout his attack? |
