Hi all

I am a mech student interested in a data acquisition project.

I have to connect 4 sensors to sense displacement and gather the data and get it into a comp using the serial port. I plan to use matlab on the pc end but outside that i donr know anything about the hardware.

Basically what i know is, i get the sensor signal as an analog input, i need a A/D conversion and get it out thru a serial port.

Your Help - I need information of any basic kit that can handle these things (I am quite ok in c but not in any embedded stuff, but interested).I dont mind more work on the software end

Can any one Please tell me if it can be done using a bundled kit, if yes where i can buy them (in US)
