#33657 - RE: 8051 from Cygnal |
I have used several of the Cygnal parts in the recent times. These parts are GREAT.....and no I don't work for Cygnal.
When you consider the net MIPS you get with Cygnal, the high density packages crammed full of I/O including A/D, D/A, and comparators), and the onboard hardware breakpoint debug hardware..the cost will look more reasonable. Cygnal sells their eval cards for very attractive price and it comes with the JTAG adapter, and eval Keil C compiler and full Keil assembler & linker. I even had one project where I used a Cygnal part to take advantage of the JTAG debugging capability just for development and debug of some 8052 software and then re-targeted the tested product code back to a more generic Intel 87C51FA part for insertion in the clients shippable product. I have a story about that at my 8052.com user page. Good Luck.....Enjoy Cygnal Michael Karas |
