#33822 - RE: 8051 from Cygnal |
Thank you all for your comments,
The important issues for me are space and compactness. I plan to make a universal module, which can be used for various projects. Most of my projects I do deal with controlling remote UHF/microwave transponders and relay stations. So space and power consumption are my focal points. And having most functions in one unit usually also means less power consumption. Another interesting feature of the Cygnal chips is the very fast processor core. In the past I exclusively used assembler for programming, since the high level languages on the standard 8051 series take way too much processing time for my applications. With Cygnal I can start trying Pascal or C for programming - easier to maintain. Greetings, Josef Koeferl |
