All the ideas floated here are practical but do we know what is done in reality in the train system to detect the arrival.....

I think there is a board/ committee that approves such gadgets and systems used in the train system.

We got to refer to such boards first before suggesting.

No gadget can ever get in use without the prior approval of the train safety board.

PS: In the recent past there has been a train accident in England (I think London). In which a mechanical sensor failed to actuate while the train was exiting the station and which could not change the signal color, something like that happened resulting a desaster and loss of precious lives.

It is as simple as a joke to build any system but Its not a joke to use that system for trains......
