But it's a, maybe a EEPROM with shift
register. Never heard of such a thing. When a PC is involved, why bother with eeprom use a PC file (the EEPROM, when loaded to the PC will be just as easy to copy to a file). If it HAS to be hardware use one of the 2 above suggestions. Anyhow, Reading an EEPROM into a PC as you state is not a '51 question. The ISP following is plain vanilla and you have that pat right.
