#34723 - 8051 Serial Port |
Hi,
I need to configure the 8051 serial port to 9600Baud with 8N1 format. I know how to set the baud rate and am wondering which mode of operation (of 0 to 3)is 8N1 format. Also, is a MAX232 chip needed to convert the serial output to rs232 format or can i use the serial download cable which must contain such a chip as i'm downloading code from the rs232 port on a PC?
