#35571 - RE: Bin file format. |
Note that the Hex2Bin utility from the Keil Web site is an OK utility for doing its function. I have encountered a problem in using it under Win2000 when you try to use the program outside a DOSBOX environment. Such a use would be within a batch file invoked from a Windows based IDE. When the program starts up there is a long delay (12 to 20 seconds on my high speed box) before the program runs. I found this untolerable and so I have made a new HEX2BIN utility that is compiled as a WIN32 Console Application. It works very nicely under Win2K and does not have the long delay.
If anyone wants to have this utility for their use I can email it to you. Just send me a request at mkaras@CarouselDesign.com. If lots of people start to ask for this I will post it onto the 8052.com web site. Michael Karas |
