I use sprintf() a lot in C programs. It only brings along about 1.5K of code from the Keil Library. sprintf() allows string formatting to a great deal of flexibility. I believe that if you are going to be writing in C then go ahead and use some of the features!!!

(Note: The math features are very useful too).
