Flowcharts??
The flowchart is a very useful tool to put an idea to paper and keep it that way. I guess as you get more experienced you could do away flowcharts. I have not reached that stage yet and use the flowchart quite liberally. And I second Mr. Karas that flowchart is a very good debug tool and a very good method to let the user know how the system works.
