The postings made quite a reading.

I think as MK expressed, the aspect of writing flowcharts is sort of habit forming. There can be no question on its usefulness in terms of support during debug, continuity for support by others and explaining it to non-technical bosses !

I also get the feeling that it is more of a individual style and as Craig put it, maybe some just find it easy to mentally analyze blocks of code for a complex situation. And in my case I believe in modular code and code reuse with liberal comments.And till date there has never been a case of my-own-code-looking-foreign problem during upgrades!
