#39113 - Power Supply Again (Bulk and Costly) |
If I connected the mains to three transformers respectively:
(1) 20VA 12V (in stock) (2) 20VA 9V (in stock) (3) 20VA 6V (in stock) then connected them using individual bridge rectifier and passed the outputs to 7812, 7809 and 7805 respectively to generate the voltages of +12V, +9V & +5V. Is this circuit alright? In addition, I really want to know the practical values of the capacitors (capacitances) that I should use. Can anyone suggest me about them? I used the web site that suggested by other expert here but it was quite difficult and the practical values of capacitors (capacitances) weren't in standard values. Also, is the unit of VA equal to W? But did it mean out of phase's power? Can anyone tell me more details about it? |
