I am using the surfacemountable version of the LM1086-5V. I am was hoping to expand the copper area of the board to dissipate the heat.
As For my 2-3A input. I have a wall power supply that supplies the LM1086 with a adjustable voltage level from 0vdc - 30Vdc. My circuit ie 2x16LCD, relay, buzzer, 8051, rs232, rs485, consume about 500mA |
