There are complete PC keyboard chips, that interface and debounce a matrix of keys to PC serial. Failing that, any PC keyboard can be interfaced to a 8052 - there are lots of postings here with links.
The actual character/key mapping is held by the computer, not the keyboard, which is why your PC needs to know which country code you are using. Steve |
