I noticed that the reply's mention EPROM not EEPROM as in the original question.

Are you trying to program a EEPROM using the 8052 as a EPROM programmer, if so i doubt that it will work as EEPROM's have a specific sequence of instructions to tell them to write data, or erase. Check the datasheet for your EEPROM's. It's usually a sequence of AAAA and 5555's.

I believe that ELEKTOR has published a article covering using the 8052AH Basic programming EEPROM's.
