The device I am programmibng is an EEPROM. The value of the data written to 8000h (000h EEPROM address) does not affect the outcome of the process. I get the same result wether I write a 0 , a 100, or a 255.

I can program every other location in the EEPROM without any problems, so I doubt that the timing might be off. Also, I can read any EPROM or EEPROM at this location, which leads me to believe that the wiring is ok.
