#40428 - PCA counter stability |
The chip : 89c52RD2 / 6Mhz Xtal in 6 Clock mode. Using this guy for measuring periods with the PCA module 0. The clock is just 1.000Khz. Have tried both 555 as well as a 4046 PLL. Everything is fine and a read of the captured value every 1 sec does show the value of 0x03E8 plus or minus 3 counts - or in other words the last "8" keeps going up and down from 5 to A or so. Not that I want it to STAND at "8". But a parallely connected frequency meter reads 1000 Hz on the dot. The question is : what is it I have to do to make my raw reading also stand at 0x03E8 ? I am open to both 'hard' and 'soft' solutions. Raghu |
