I Know nothing in this field

1) Can I base A ROBOT On the 8052 MCU's ??
is it powerful enugh ?? (I Think 8052 is ok)
2) where/how should I Start ? Books or WEB ??
(If webs then sites)
3) Any TIPS For Beginner ??
4) What can you tell me about Cost of PARTS ?
