I dont know what the static power consumption of a 8052 is but dont see why it should be much higher than a pic.It depends on what peripherals you have running as well.
I was wondering how fast I could clock an 8052 core in a xilinx fpga as the timing analyser says it should run at about 97Mhz,it might need some cooling over that but i might see how high i can go.I was thinking that if i used lfsrs for the timers/counters/address registers I might be able to push it over 150Mhz,at 4 clks per instruction thats er...450Mhz for a standard 8052 |
