Under normal circumstances you shouldn't need pullup on the data lines. The exceptions would be if you were using non-CMOS TTL or open circuit type chips 7406,7407, or if the data lines had to make a long run let say longer than 4-5 inches the resistance of the pc board trace could cause ringing. |
