Thanks again. Seems like you guys were thinking everything.
Facts in this case, is that external circuit and programming for smart shutdowns is no problem. And what comes to that how many times eeprom will be written, is ok, max. 10 times a day, 100.000 cycles will be enough for the lifetime of this application. Amount of data needed to write is only few bytes, and if I keep count where and how many times its been done, it should last my lifetime... :-) For few bytes, I sure don't want to have external nv-memory.
