I see your point. I am playing with this prosessor at a moment with no worries, but in serious use this have to be taken care of.

I made yesterday my first circuit and programmed it by using very much the code found from LCD-tutorial. Tutorial is very well made, and it was easy to get into assempler syntax, but... I don't know what goes wrong, maybe timings or my circuit, but instead of having just "Hello world" once, it writes many times and the display is full of grab.

Here we come to this reset matter, when reset buton is pressed, it works differently than if I simply cut the power for few seconds. Maybe I should try this MAX813L/707/708 you recommended, and having a more stable voltage would also be good idea. I was a bit lazy when I wanted this circuit to work, it looks ugly and so it seems to be working too.

Maybe I should open a new thread for this, to show everybody how NOT to build circuits... ;-)
