#41561 - Mini Elevator using stepper motor+8051 |

Hi there
Here's something to really get your teeth into for those looking for a challenge!!Im in my final year and trying to simulate the operation of a 4 floor elevator using a stepper motor. When I press a number on a 3x4 matrix keypad, the 8051 takes the data and moves the stepper motor a set number of revolutions up or down until it reaches that floor level. The problem is how Im going to keep track of what floor level the lift is currently at. Im very new to the world of the 8051,is there a way of creating some kind of counter to hold the current position so the system can then make a decision whether to go up or down and how far.Any suggestions or possible solutions are very welcome. Thanks a lot :)
|
