#41573 - Dont give up Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hello there, All replies sound rather like Professor advice ? Yes behind every one of the reply there is much hidden and your funda question is already answered - there is no way to know which floor you are in, unless you have a sensor to tell you so . This is true for whichever world you are in. And stepper for a model lift is a bit too much when you can just get away with a simple DC motor + PWM drive and sensors for each floor. Stepper is not a bad idea but will take a lot in terms of counting pulses, initilaizing etc that finally you will end up learning more on stepper drives than lift logics. And when having sensors, plan for 2 - one for deceleration and the other for halting. Else at every floor your passengers will have to jump down or climb up into the lift. Have fun . Raghu |
