May be your problem is that the voltage of swich off of each circuit are diferent (the 8052 and the 1643)

.Do you loose all data?
.Or some data?
.Do you get every time the same corrupted value?

If you loose all data all the times sounds like a device problem or a compiler problem (the init values)
