My impression was that CAN was overly complicated and still undefined. I read about CAN but it doesn't look necessary in my industry. No one will be asking for it until several years from now. These days, I'd be reluctant to program a radio link without waiting on silicon versions of Bluetooth (security issues; ref: incognito) or the 900 Mhz WAN modules. I think its wiser to wait upon silicon solutions. Radio modem work was challenging and rewarding but there are less stressful ways to make a living, and with the current prices of DSPs, much better solutions. -Jay C. Box |
