I know the display is way above normal operation speed with 1 mhz. But that is because how I designed it. Better solutions probably exist, but i am quite unfamiliar with them. I also included jumper configuration to allow connection of a bigger ledpanel (max 32x32)Thus I cannot use 1.6 Khz frequency, because I don't feed the display with 8 pixels at once : I demux the 2-bit screendata from ram to a representing current to allow 4 color-intensities to be shown at once.What I did was this : A row/columncounter keeps running with the main system clock, and is demuxed to transistors. The processor does whatever is needed, and can at anytime initiate a screen-update. To do this, it resets the row/columncounters to 0, sets the write strobe, and begins feeding new data. Because I need the processor to compute quite some stuff, I need it to be clocked at say at least 1 mhz. For the sake of simplicity I fed the same systemclock of the 8052 to display-hardware. Since I planned on using the cpu on 8mhz, this is how I get a 1Mhz clock on the ledboard.

Since I allready created the board, I am going to experiment with the bsr16 and the diode-approach, and if all that fails, I guess I will have to use a bigger clockdivision between the displayhardware and the mainclock and spend more time updating screenmemory.
