#43947 - (flash) memory for data storage |
I need some sugestions for an external storage device that I think could be a flash memory.
I thought about using: 1- EEprom or serial eproms but they have low density. I need around 32Mbytes of storage. Using serial eproms and/or eeproms would require too many devices with a high cost and big size. 2- Compact Flash: they are basically IDE devices, so I'll need a working file-system. Not impossible, but unnecessary. 3- Memory sticks: they seem to be a high speed, high density serial eprom, but I coudn't find technical details. (I think that Sony only provide that information for licensed partners) What I need: a memory device that I could select a memory position and write a byte to it, just like in an eprom, but with 32M or more and small (small like a compact flash card). Sugestions? TIA orlando |
