To everybody,

I am the final year student of Electrical Engineering and I have to finish a project within this semester. I was requested by the prof. to build up a car tires pressure sensor. This is not the normal pressure gauge as you all see in the petrol station. This sensor has to be installed inside the tires to sense the present pressure reading and send out signal while the wheels are free-running. That’s why no wires is allowed to send supply to the sensing system or to gain the reading from the system either. Thus, I have to design a built-in generator in the tires to convert the kinetic energy of the wheel rotation to electrical supply. The prof. say I have to make the generator myself (coil and electromagnet) and put it to a right place. Do anyone of you have any idea or have any experience of doing this project. Besides, I plan to build another backup system to power the sensing system when the wheels are stationary or the rotating speed do not generate enough voltage to support the system. Do anyone have come across with this kind of circuit ? I will say a hundred thousand of thankyou if anyone who can provide your valuable idea or any suitable circuit for me.
