your schematic is the most easiest system to build a 'random' pattern generator.

Keep in mind that your signal has to be a multiple of 512 Bytes in memory to have a complete cycle.

Select a good binary counter or latch the address lines. Cause 'noise' from a ripple counter can make your design 'jiggle'. No wories if when your R/C filter is well designed.

Use a FLASH instead of an EPROM. This speeds up the design in testing.
