Hi Oleg, you're quite right, Zhang's formula is wrong. You are right enough to get going, unless you really want to fight the dynamic response down. If you correct the motor with
new guess = old guess+(frac)*speed error then you have a little integral feedback that needs to be handled cautiously obviously.

The clever stuff for Zhang will be at the low end.
