dealing with disk your self is not a easy task. why to waste your time when ppl already did. ontroller solution is best. i did it in my graduation. first of all i thought of doing it by 8085 MPU. but going through the pages written about reaing and recording , i gave up. i was just a new kid after all. and still if i do it will be a big project, designing a iterface to FDD. fooooooooo


better to use a controller.
