Hi Bruno
The M6598 is almost identical to the hitachi HD66205 , and if you get the datasheet for that it should suffice. The M6598 is used as the row driver ,so it should be paired with SEC 618B (usually an m6599) column drivers.. Its a shift register one!!.. This means that you will have no nice T6963(or equivalent higher driver) to do all the dirty work for you.. but you can use a higher level interface chip (M6255 ,SED1330f,HD64464,T6963 etc)if you build a board for it.... I don't want to sound patronising (I have no idea of your experience) , but if your new to graphic displays ,then try to obtain one with a T6963 controller ,as there is a lot of code avaiable to get you up and running. And as Mr Karas has just posted a library of routines for a Tianma display ,it may be worth locating one.. |
