#4664 - RE: 8051 ROM lookup table |
It worked exceptionally well, Thank you.
I have another question as to how you would go about reading in a keypad value (it is an 8X10 matrix keypad), and associating each key with 5 hex values in ROM. My problem is not outputting the ROM value out but, being able to organize the information that decodes the keypad and references this value to the ROM values. I must also mention that the row/column configuration is as follows: The rows are outputs from an 8255 ppi, which in turn line up with the column values that are buffered onto the 8051 data bus. Unfortunately it is NOT interrupt driven, so it must be constantly polled. The basic program I attempted involved output values on the 8255 and immediately scanning the data bus for any changes. My question to you my wise friend is how can I set this up to store the keypad value into a register and reference that to 5 bytes in the lookup table??? Ben |
