#47547 - Bluetooth via 8052 USB port, Interfacing |
I am working on a hobby/learning project (still a student) in which I have several (2 to 7) 8052-based boards which gather data from sensors.
The boards are mounted in close proximity to each other but on moving objects, so I would like to use Bluetooth devices for communication between the boards. The 8052 I have chosen is the Atmel AT89C5132, which has a USB port built in. One board (the master) is dedicated to receiving the data in real-time from all the other boards (slaves). This board will interface through its USB port to a windows application I am writing for viewing of the data in real-time. I could use some help in determining how to go about accomplishing this and how difficult and feasible it will be. I am proficient with C programming and have some experience with the 8052, but as a student I don't have lots of experience accumulated yet. I will be reading up on bluetooth and USB but for now it would be exremely helpful if someone could point me in the right direction as to how to interface from 8052 USB port to the bluetooth device and from board to board across bluetooth, and anything else that you can think of! I plan on using off the shelf USB modules to plug into the 8052 port. Will I have to use an access point? Thanks in advance! Brian Magnusen |
