#47712 - RE: Bluetooth via 8052 USB port, Interfacing Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Jez,
I am actually planning on using USB mostly for the learning experience as I think USB experience will be valuable in the future. I know I'm not doing things the easiest or best way, but this project is to support a hobby of mine anyway, so it's more about the learning experience. As far as bluetooth is concerned, I may abandon it if it's too complex as you indicate. Ideally, if I could find a bluetooth module with a non-USB interface (8051 is a slave device and therefore can't control another slave device) and there were a simple protocol for it (maybe send a target device address then the data) I would love to use it. The problem I am faced with now is that there is so much protocol and layer stuff going on that it's hard for me to sort it all out. Another solution is to use a pre-FCC certified transceiver module on each board, but I'd prefer to use bluetooth. Thanks for the info. |
