Why, oh why do you guys open attachments?

I'm no virus expert, but I read that there are some virus' arround, which need NOT to be opened for infecting your system.

I think the only good way to prevent of being infected - beside not opening attachements, of course - is to have your antivirus program weekly updated. Some manufacturer of antivirus programs have a virus warning service, which informs you by e-mail about newest virus. Then, before doing anything with your computer you can first run update.

Happily I have one of this older Netscape browsers being more immune to virus attacks than microsoft internet explorer. But that's of course no guarantee. I have decided to change to LINUX, one fine day, when virus spreading becomes untolerable.
