Dear All Experts,

I am now looking for some ideas for my robotics researches using micro-controller. Would you mind give me any ideas for these kinds of researches? I need to make a robot which is interesting, non-traditional and useful. Any idea, suggestion are welcome.

I saw a MTV very long time ago that one expert in Japan made a robot which can detect the smell of flower. Would you mind tell me its working principle?
