Here is a list of ideas that you could consider for incorporating into a robot.
1) Make a robot that can detect the sound of knocking at the front and back door. Upon knocking detected with secret cadence have robot drive to door and open it from the inside. 2) Make a robot that has 2.4 gHz wireless phone handset on it that can detect when phone rings. Upon ringing of phone for extended number of rings. Like 12, 13 or 14, have robot drive to the dog and attach leash and walk dog around the block. 3) Make a robot that has a detector that can sense sound of 3 handclaps. Upon detect the robot drives to the ice cooler and removes one can of beverage and returns to the source of the hand clap noise. 4) Make a robot that can detect dryness of soil in flower pots at various pre-determined locations. Upon detecting soil too dry have robot dispense some H2O into pot. An advanced version of robot could detect when its H2O tank was empty and have the robot return to a known source and re-fill its tank. 5) Make a robot that has balance detectors and a mechanism that can shift a balancing weight in +/- X and +/- Y directions. Use the balance detection and adjusting system to make the unit able to propel itself on one wheel similar to a unicycle rider. Hope those give some ideas for a challenging project that is sure to be a hit of the show. Michael Karas |
